What's so good about personal beauty lasers?

What's so bad about surgery? Why shouldn't I inject poisons into my body? Who cares if it gives me cancer or makes me infertile as long as I look young? Must we suffer to be beautiful? Or will a cosmetic laser treatment fix everything safely and painlessly?

What is Low Level Laser Therapy?

"Low Level Laser Therapy or Laser Phototherapy is a method where light from a laser is applied to tissue (or cells in culture) in order to influence cell or tissue functions with such low light intensity that heating is negligible. The effects achieved are hence not due to heating but to photochemical or photobiologic reactions like the effect of light in plants. The lasers used are normally referred to as therapeutic lasers." Swedish Laser Medical Society

Low Level Laser Therapy is widely used in hospitals and clinics around the world to treat and cure a number of conditions including pain relief, problematic skin conditions and to promote healing in wounds or injuries.

Low Level Laser Therapy is beneficial in repairing damaged cells and speeds up and enhances the response of the body’s immune system as well as aiding pain relief. That is why it is so effective when used for skin rejuvenation and healing acne and skin blemishes - it restores the skin to a healthy, more youthful condition.

Also, if you are suffering from hair loss, low level laser therapy can help to stimulate the hair follicles into action again, resulting in new hair growth and healthier hair. Amazing but true.

Protect the Skin You're In

The pursuit of youthful-looking skin has been one of the beauty industry’s holy grails for generations. All manner of lotions and potions have claimed to deliver rejuvenating results, but in the busy schedules we all seem to have adopted in our modern lives, finding those simple and effective tools that will make all the difference is key.

The best way to begin is to build in sensible skincare habits to your everyday routine which can soon ensure that you are giving your skin every chance of looking its best – and you won’t even notice you are doing it.

Firstly, cleanse your skin regularly and thoroughly using a good quality cleanser that you know your skin responds well to. Choose a creamy cleanser if you have dry skin or a clear cleanser if you have oily skin.

Another pillar of your regular skincare regime should be exfoliation. It is believed that one of the key reasons men’s skin looks more youthful than women’s is that men tend to exfoliate daily when they shave, so it just goes to show how effective this can be. Thirdly, moisturise. Everyone’s skin will benefit from moisturiser at some stage, even those with oily skin. To gauge how often you need to moisturise, just be led by your skin. When your skin is tight, it’s crying out for moisture, but be careful not to over-moisturise as this can clog pores.

Most importantly, but all-too easily forgotten, is sunscreen. The number one cause of wrinkles is sun damage, so it’s important to use sunscreen from your early years, even in winter and on cloudy days. A great trick is to purchase two moisturisers: one for the night and one for the day that includes UV protection.
Once you are doing all you can to look after your skin, you will find it much easier to supplement your skin care regime with effective treatments to achieve lasting results you will fall in love with.

For those always on the move and not wishing to slow down for a salon visit, why not try the ground-breaking Wellay @home Personal Skin Laser? This non-invasive laser treatment rejuvenates skin and has been developed for your own personal use, which means you can use it at home or wherever you find the time.

Wellay Personal Skin Laser Review by Style Apothecary

METSV says:  I remember in the not-so-distant past when I used to watch Extreme Makeover (the people edition, not the home one) and often times the doctors would use lasers to rejuvenate the skin of the patients, taking years off their looks and just adding to the "wow" factor in their final reveal.  I became fascinated with these lasers and started to mentally calculate the money I'd have to save if I ever wanted to laser my skin at a doctor's office.... Well, times have changed, that's for sure.  Now I can perform my own skin lasering right in the privacy of my own home with this sleek and lightweight tool from Wellay.

How powerful are the lasers in the Skin Laser?

The Wellay Personal Skin Laser has 12 lasers arranged in 3 groups of 4. In each group there is a 670nm red laser, a 780nm infrared laser, an 830nm infrared laser and a 910nm infrared laser. Each group of lasers has an output power of 20mW which combine to make a total power of 60mW for the Wellay Personal Skin Laser.

Will a Wellay Skin Laser lift and firm the skin?

Yes. Low level laser light therapy with a Wellay @home skin laser will rejuvenate your appearance and lift and tighten your skin.  With regular, daily use of the Wellay anti-ageing skin laser you will notice improvements in your skin tone and skin texture over time.

When the skin laser is placed on your skin, each wavelength penetrates and heals different levels in the skin tissue, promoting collagen synthesis and healthy skin. Collagen is largely responsible for skin strength and elasticity, strengthens blood vessels and plays a role in tissue development.

The Wellay @home skin laser restores the tone and elasticity to your skin, thus rejuvenating, lifting and tightening.

Can you tell me whether I could use the Skin Laser in America?

Yes. All Wellay @home Skin Lasers are supplied with an international wide voltage power supply with easily interchangeable pins (UK / EU / USA) so you can use them wherever you travel.

Can you tell me if you would need to cover your eyes when using a skin laser?

No. When in use, the Wellay @home Skin Laser is placed on your skin so no, you don't have to cover your eyes. For eye safety, the Smart "Face-Away" sensor ensures that the laser beam is automatically switched off whenever the distance between your skin and the laser is more than 10 centimetres. However, don't look right into the laser and do not use a Cosmetic Skin Laser on your eyes or eyelids.

Can I use the skin laser to treat vitiligo?

No, a Wellay personal skin laser wouldn’t help at all with vitiligo as the skin lasers operate at red and infrared wavelengths and the only light used in treating vitiligo is UV ultraviolet light.

Is the Skin Laser helpful with spider veins?

Yes, the Wellay Skin laser can be used to help spider veins as it uses low level laser light therapy which promotes blood circulation, strengthens blood vessels and promotes skin resilience and elasticity.

Would the Skin Laser remove my old, dark scars?

How long before I see a result?

Yes. Old, dark scars would be positively affected by healthier skin conditions resulting from using the Skin Laser consistently over several months but I couldn’t guarantee that the scars would be removed. However, your skin would generally be revitalised and much healthier so the scarring would be improved in appearance.

Can the Wellay skin laser help with facial flushing?

I am paying 1200 euro a session for IPL to treat facial flushing. Naturally this is very expensive. Can your skin laser help with this condition?

No, the Wellay Skin Laser is not suitable to treat rosacea. You need medical strength high power lasers for satisfactory results and need to be treated by medical professionals.

The IPL laser treatment you are having uses high power lasers and burns off the skin tissue whereas the Wellay @home Skin Laser uses low level laser therapy (LLLT) which is low power lasers promoting gentle healing from within the skin tissue. That is why it is safe for home use as it is low power and has no side effects.
